Follow the steps below to configure Mail for Mac OS X (10.2) for SMTP Authentication.
How to Configure Mail for Mac OS X for SMTP Authentication
- Open Mail.

- From the Mail menu, choose Preferences.

- Select your email account in the Accounts list.
- Account information tab.

- Click the arrow box on the Outgoing Mail Server pop-up list and choose Add Server
- In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type mail.ccsw.co.uk
- Click the arrow box on the Authentication pop-up list and choose Password.
- In the User Name field, type your entire MCI email address (e.g., joe@mydomainname.co.uk).
- In the Password field, type your email password.
- Click the OK button.

- Click the OK button.

- If its a pop3 your done. If you are setting up as an imap account you need to click the advaced tab. and ensure SSL is unticked and authentication is password.

- Close the Accounts window.
